First, let me say that the analogy of the little people in Gulliver’s Travels probably being bureaucrats is so perfectly spot on.
Of course, everything we need to do with regard to the grid and the need for additional power, free markets, and dynamism is perfect true.
I do not, however, believe that the laws and rules holding the development back are due to “well meaning environmental policies”. Most of the rules and regulations were and are intended to simply retard development. The environment has been the mask the anti business and anti development crowd has hidden behind for fifty years. If they thought they could have kept us all living in the 18th century, they would have. They didn’t, but it wasn’t for a lack of trying.
I'm with you in spirit. I think a lot of the statutes were enacted in good faith but later abused by groups who use lawfare to destroy all sorts of projects. There's no shortage of bad laws, though--totally agree
I’ll definitely give you that. The Clean Air and Clean Water acts are examples of good government policies. BUT, they’ve been abused beyond description by the “environmentalists” (a/k/a anti development of any kind ideologues) and regulators in ill fitting suits who want to control the American people.
While i agree completely that private sector solutions are likely to be far more effective, i fear that will need a true revolution as there are far too many citizens who default to, "there oughta be a low" for whatever ails them.
Perhaps the best thing a Trump administration can do is to tear down the current regulatory framework and leave nothing in its place. allow interested parties to create the systems necessary to function effectively.
I like what you have written and it’s AI-positive message. However, the amount that is positive is dwarfed by several orders of magnitude in the negative factors, not the least of which is it is designed and trained at data gathering and monitoring. As evidenced by many companies around the world complaining that an AI used their data illegally.
AI is in many cases, invisible and untraceable which means it can gather information on people that should be completely private. Cell phones, text messages, social media are all compromised by AI. Banks are already monitoring purchases for the CIA so it can label a person an extremist if they purchased a gun or a Bible, for just two examples, so one could expect the banks to allow AI full access.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely whether that is the AI owners or AI itself. AI is simply a hacker, going wherever it wants and gathering information for its handlers. This is obviously an untenable situation in a world controlled by a Cabal that would rather have us useless eaters die as evidenced by the last 5 years of the Plandemic.
In my opinion, AI is setup to make controlling the populations of the world an easy reality. You cannot hide from a source that is ubiquitous. My desire is the electricity problem fails to get the attention it needs so that AI proliferation is kept in check.
I notice that you do not come right out and endorse streamlining the development of more nuclear power. Is this just cowardice? Nothing but nuclear can possibly do the job.
I agree with you on nuclear power. We need far more nuclear power plants online and in production if for nothing else to prop up the crumbling electricity grid.
